Wonderful way to finish the season,tears of joy when Mandy and Manequin were sashed Park Hack of the Year at HOY.Leading up to HOY, Mandy and Manequin were awarded Champion at Pukahu, Waipukurau, Dannevirke, Masterton and Supreme ridden exhibit at the Hawkes Bay Championship show. Well done Mandy and Manequin the two of you looked amazing.
Harmony and Sarah Clements having a very good show season with a Champion and Reserve from just 3 shows, finishing the season at the top being awarded Supreme Led Pony and Supreme ridden Pony under international judge Samatha Watson at the Devine Show. Sarah has produced and ridden Harmony beautifully Sarah is looking forward to next season.

South Island Premier Championship Show, Sarah rode
Harmony beautifully, winning her novice class and going on to be sashed
Res Champion Novice B ring pony. Kay Young did a great job breaking
Harmony in, and just 5 weeks after being schooled at Sarahs. She
has competed at her first show under saddle with success.

Country Love filly (iu Aust) Silk Ribbons filly
We are thrilled with our latest arrivals, two beautiful fillies. Langtree Silk Ribbons had a lovely bay filly by Rosedale Our Secret. Langtree Country Love has produced a very devine little filly by Langtree Dare to Dream (Fairley Temptation x Cusop Diamond). Its great to have fillies born with such lovely English bloodlines an asset to our stud.
I would like to congratulate Mandy and Manequin for being awarded Champion Park Hack at Pukahu Show.
It was great to hear from Kate and Devon Grantley Hogg who owns Skibbereen Limelight (Bobby). Devon has being competing on Bobby in eventing with placings and SJ with 1sts and champions.Devon is having dressage lessons with Samantha Winn and jumping lessons with Andrew Scott They hope to compete at HOY in the Dressage, SJ and Showhunter classes I wish them all the best.
Well done Adrianne Hey with Skibbereen Secrets at Rangiora A&P show being awarded Champion Partbred Welsh, winning his yearling partbred and his height class in the RP ring.

New Arrival
Langtree Country Love (Langtree Valentine x Langtree Classique) a beautifully bred mare in foal to Langtree Dare To Dream (Fairley Temptation x Cusop Diamond). I would like to thank Elaine Watson (Aust) for giving me the opportunity to purchase Dotty.
Skibbereen Penny Caper has had her first show out under saddle for Chrissy Heslop, at the Nelson Pony Breeders Winter Woolies Show. Penny and Chrissy winning their four classes they entered in, then going on to be awarded Champion Pony up to 13 hds. Thanks to Judith and Chrissy for doing a great job of educating Penny.

2011 Foal Show, Rosedale Our Secret had 2 foals entered. I would like to congratulate Adrianne Hey and Pine Eyre Secret Decision for being awarded Champion Partbred Welsh foal. Skibbereen Secrets won the small riding pony class with Pine Eyre Secret Decision getting 2nd in this class. Secrets being placed 2nd in the partbred welsh class, 3rd in the Pony Breeders sash class and 4th in the Riding Pony sash class he was so well behaved and took it all in his stride.
NZ Showing Awards have taken place and I would like to thank all the people that voted for Manequin and Mandy. Manequin was awarded Silver in the Park Hack of the year and Mandy was awarded Silver for the Best Dressed Senior Rider of the year.

2011 HOY Show it was great spending the week with Mandy, Christine, Val & Manequin. We were thrilled with Mandy & Manequin"s 4th Placings in the Park Hack Title Class and the Paced and Mannered Class it was a very strong line up of quality Park Hacks. Mandy & Manequin looked super thanks to Sam & Liz.
Mandy and Manequin have had a very successful season leading up to HOY. At the Nationals in Dannevirke they were Awarded Res Champion Park Hack to the lovely Cuv"ee. Manawatu Showing Champs, Champion Park Hack. Masterton A&P, Champion Park Hack then going on to be awarded Supreme Hack also Champion of Champions over every class. Hawkes Bay Showing Champs, Champion Park Hack, then going onto be sashed Supreme Hack.
Well Done Mandy, what a great season.

Latest Arrival.
We were thrilled with the early arrival of a stunning filly out of Willowvale Forget Me Not by Rosedale Our Secret. Southwind Silver Wings has had a lovely dark bay filly by Rosedale Our Secret.
On the showing scene Willowvale Forget Me Not
(Mia) had a very successful season. At Ashburton Show Mia was awarded
Champion mare, also the Pony Breeders Adult Sash. At Christchurch Show,
Mia was awarded the Champion Adult also was awarded the Pony Breeders
Adult Sash. Thanks to Adrianne Hey for leading Mia at these shows.
Skibbereen Red Sensation had placings from strong line ups in his
yearling classes at Christchurch and at Ashburton.
Skibbereen Manequin, ridden by Mandy has started the season well,
being awarded Champion and two Reserve Championships.

Arrivals
We are very excited about the foals that have arrived by Rosedale Our
Secret, they are very typey and correct. Serenade has presented us with
a
very smart colt with very elevated paces. Naryl Imagine (Anna) has
produced a beautiful leggy filly that we will be retaining. Skibbereen
Red Quest has been gelded and is on the market for sale, he will make a
lovely saddle pony.

Tripper with Caitlyn Hey
(What's for lunch?)
We have been out to two shows over the winter. We went to the Foal Show in May with Skibbereen Red Sensation (Tripper). He won his height class in the Riding Pony ring, we also took him out to the Cust Winter Woollies Show on the 25th July, being awarded Reserve Champion Youngstock. It has been a great education for him before we take him out to the spring shows.
Judith took Penny to the Nelson Youngstock show with her winning 2yr old show pony, partbred welsh and going onto get Reserve Champion of Breed. Judith brought Willowvale Forget Me Not last years foal Jubilee Unforgettable which went on to be awarded Supreme foal.

We have enjoyed a few days up at the HOY where Mandy and Manequin were competing, we were delighted with their performance being awarded 2nd in their height class to Cuv'ee, the winner of the Park Hack Of The Year. Manequin became unsettled just before she went in for the title class, starting her workout tense but improving as the work out went on, finishing on a very good note, being awarded 5th in the Open Park Hack Title Class. Mandy and Manequin will compete at dressage for a few months over winter.
Judith took Penny Caper to the Nelson Breeders Show in February. Having a great show being awarded Champion Youngstock Welsh and Res Champion Inhand Youngstock Pony, also being in the top 3 Supreme Youngstock of the show.
We have a new mare joining our stud, Southwind Silver Wings, a Supreme Champion Inhand pony. She has a positive test to Rosedale Our Secret.
I would like to congratulate Dani Jolly-Blackett riding Skibbereen Legacy for winning The Wonder Memorial Junior Equestrian Turnout also with her other placings throughout the show.

We have just returned home from the National Show in Dannevirke, where Manequin and Mandy where competing. They had a great show being awarded Supreme Champion Galloway, under judge Rodger Fitzhardinge from NSW. Manequin also was awarded Reserve Champion NZ Bred Horse, judged by Judith Johnson. It is a great thrill as a breeder and owner to own such a beautiful little mare. Mandy and Manequin had success earlier in the season being awarded Champion Park Hack at the Manawatu Breeders Show also Reserve Champion Park Hack at Waipukurau A&P Show.
Penny Caper has been leased to Judith Heslop from
Nelson. Judith plans to break Penny in for lead rein for her grand
children.
We had two foals born this season a stunning colt by
Kolbeach Sensational x Langtree Silk Ribbons also a lovely filly by
Rosedale Our Secrets x Legacy Duplication (Bambi)
On a sader note we have lost Bambi through an illness which has left us an orphan foal (Katie) at the age of 6 weeks, we were fortunate to have a lend of an old pony mare, Debbie aged 33, to keep her company.

Manequin has been leased to Mandy McCutcheon in the North Island. Manequin has settled in really well and Mandy is loving her. We wish Mandy all the best for the coming show season.
Fleurdlene Fanfare has been sold to Bev Hewson from Jubilee Stud who will be giving her a career under saddle before she goes to the broodmare paddock we wish her all the best.
Skibbereen Questionaire has been sold to Rachel McFadden she hopes to show him inhand and then have a career under saddle. I'm sure she will have a lot of fun with him and that he will follow in the footsteps of his siblings.
We have been very fortunate to lease two very well bred (Imp) mares for this coming season to go to Rosedale Our Secret. Willowvale Forget Me Not (Oakvale Serenade x Creswell Diamond Fantasy) a champion in Aust and NZ Royal, also Tooravale Magnolia (Weston Manhattan x Weston Park Marigold) a purebred section B palomino 3yr old filly also a champion in Aust. New arrival
We have been very fortunate to get Langtree Silk Ribbons from Elaine Watson, Beeswing Stud Australia, to join our band of broodmares. Ribbons carries some of the finest English blood lines Fairley Temptation x Trellech Chantilly Silk. Ribbons is due to foal to Kolbeach Sensational towards the end of September.

Adult and Pony Breeders Sash at the NZ Royal. Naryl Imagine foaled a
very
upstanding colt to Kolbeach Sensational.
Skibbereen
Manequin had a wonderful season under saddle, ridden by Carissa Heslop
and
cared for by Judith Heslop they did a superb job.
She had
numerous supreme and champion awards but the biggest thrill was at the
2009 NZ
Grand National Show where Manequin under three International Judges won
several
Title classes NZ Grand National
We travelled
to the HOY Show in march where we were delighted with her
placing’s awarded
three 3rds and a 5th out of 4 big classes. Never putting
a
foot
wrong. She has come home for a spell for the winter.
